Buonvento ti porta a scuola by bestselling author Paola Mastrocola is a poetic picture book with whimsical collage illustrations about opening up to new experiences and letting dreams set sail. In a quiet land, where life never changes, a school on wheels arrives, inviting the animal children to learn.

While most kids are excited, a few—led by the stubborn little mule Mullo—resist out of fear and misinformation. With the help of Buonvento the wind, they discover that school is not a place of boredom, but of imagination and growth. A poetic tale with whimsical illustrations about curiosity, change, and the adventure of learning. The book has been published by DeAgostini / Mondadori, Italy’s largest publishing house.

One day, School arrives. It comes roaring and puffing down Twistyturn Street,
until it stops right in the middle of the square, turns off its engine, and begins to call out:
“Children, come! With me, you’ll learn so many things!”
But Mrs. Badmouth, always ready to speak ill of everything and everyone, bursts out of her den shouting: “No, for heaven’s sake – not school! School is bad, it wants to take the children away!”
Mullo furrows his brow, tenses his muscles, and digs in his heels: “I don’t want to go to school!”
“And why not?” whispers Buonvento. “Because I want to go to the sea!”
Up and down Twistyturn Street, Mullo carries logs, sacks of potatoes, and heavy stones.
He’s used to it. Carrying weight is what he knows.
The children draw, read, and write with joy and wonder. hen they rush outside to play ball,
their laughter echoing through the air.
