I created the cover design (illustration and typography) for one of Germany’s bestselling nonfiction books, Richard David Precht’s Wer bin ich – und wenn ja wie viele? (Who am I, and if So, How Many? A Philosophical Journey).
My jacket design shows a ship emitting a cloud of steam in the shape of a questionmark. I also did the design for Precht’s follow-up book about Love (Liebe – ein unordentliches Gefühl / The Unruly Emotion of Love).
What is truth? How do I know who I am? Why should I be a good person? The subject of Precht’s investigation is the discussion of fundamental philosophical questions about human consciousness and behaviour, taking into account recent psychological and neurobiological findings.
The book quickly became one of Germany’s biggest sellers, with foreign rights sold to more than 30 countries. Penguin Random House is the world’s largest book publisher.
